Exosome ads in Dubai: why Google's regenerative therapy ban and 2026 Gulf regulator action make them risky, and the concern-led campaigns to run instead.
Thinking of advertising exosome treatments, or looking for an exosome supplier? Our advice is not to put exosomes in paid ads at all. Google bans ads for regenerative and cell-based therapies and names PRP; exosomes are not named, but they are sold on the same regenerative logic, so expect disapprovals. In October 2026 UAE dermatologists publicly warned that exosome testimonials are not evidence. Qatar banned injectable exosome use in July 2026, and Saudi Arabia suspended two doctors over an exosome promotion video in June 2026. We could not confirm the UAE regulatory status. Advertise the skin or hair concern and the specialist instead, and explain exosomes, carefully, only in the consultation and organic content.

What people in the UAE search for
Google's UAE autocomplete shows "exosomes price dubai", "exosome hair treatment", "microneedling with exosomes" and, on the trade side, "exosomes supplier". The demand is real and driven by social media. The question is not whether people search, but whether you can safely advertise to those searches. For the clinic, the useful searches are the concerns behind them:
- Hair: "hair loss treatment dubai", "hair thinning treatment", "hair loss dermatologist".
- Skin: "acne scar treatment dubai", "skin rejuvenation dubai", "microneedling dubai".
- Specialist: "dermatologist consultation dubai".
Why exosomes do not belong in paid ads
- Google's policy. The speculative and experimental medical treatment policy prohibits ads for stem cell therapy, cellular (non-stem) therapy, gene therapy, "similar forms of regenerative medicine" and platelet-rich plasma. The only exception is for FDA-approved therapies promoted in the US. Exosomes are not named, but ads that sell them as regenerative are likely to be disapproved, and repeated violations put the account at risk.
- Unapproved substances. Google's unapproved substances policy covers products marketed as safe or effective without approval, and products under regulatory warnings.
- UAE law. Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2024, Article 44, bans advertising any medical product without EDE approval, and Article 45 requires ads to be truthful, evidence-based and match approved uses (FAO mirror). If you cannot show an approval for the use you advertise, you cannot advertise it.
- DHA wording. The DHA advertising standard bans "miraculous" and guaranteed claims, testimonials without written consent, and promoting products not supported by clinical evidence. Exosome marketing usually relies on all three.
| Google Ads | UAE | |
|---|---|---|
| Exosome as a keyword | ✗ Likely disapproved | ! Status unverified |
| Exosome in ad text | ✗ Regenerative therapy ban | ✗ Needs EDE approval |
| Educational page, organic | ✓ Allowed | ! Evidence and risks stated |
| Concern-led ads (hair, scars) | ✓ Allowed | ✓ Service advert |
What regulators in the region have done
- UAE, October 2026: two UAE dermatologists told Khaleej Times that long-term safety data is limited, product quality varies, and testimonials are not evidence. They advised patients to ask for the product name and batch number and to check the doctor and facility with the regulator (Khaleej Times; our report).
- Qatar, July 2026: the Ministry of Public Health banned injectable use of exosome products, saying no exosome product had been approved for injectable use (The Peninsula).
- Saudi Arabia, June 2026: the Ministry of Health suspended two doctors' licences after a promotional video about exosome injections circulated (Khaleej Times).
We did not find a UAE ban equivalent to Qatar's. That is not the same as approval. Check the specific product's status with the EDE and your licensing authority before using it, let alone advertising it.
What to run instead
- Concern-led campaigns: hair loss treatment, acne scars and skin rejuvenation, each to a page that explains the assessment.
- Treatments that can be advertised: microneedling, skin boosters and polynucleotides, written without regenerative claims.
- Exosome terms as negatives, so broad match never serves your ad on them.
- Organic education: a page that explains what exosomes are, what the evidence does and does not show, the risks, and how patients can verify a product. That is the page patients searching after the October 2026 coverage need, and it is not an ad.
Landing page and WhatsApp follow-up
Patients will ask for exosomes by name. Give your team a short, approved answer that does not sell the product.

Frequently asked questions
Can I advertise exosome treatments on Google in the UAE?
We advise against it. Google prohibits ads for regenerative medicine and cell therapies, with a narrow US exception. Exosomes are not named, but ads that sell them as regenerative are likely to be disapproved.
Are exosome injections banned in the UAE?
We did not find a UAE ban. Qatar banned injectable exosome use in July 2026, and UAE dermatologists warned about exosome claims in October 2026. Check the product's status with the Emirates Drug Establishment and your licensing authority.
What should I advertise instead of exosomes?
The concern and the specialist: hair loss treatment, acne scar treatment or skin rejuvenation, with a named dermatologist. Explain exosomes, with evidence and risks, at the consultation.
Can I use patient testimonials for exosome treatments?
Only with written consent for that use, approved by your medical director, and never with miracle or guaranteed claims. DHA also bans promoting products not supported by clinical evidence.
