Get More MRI Scan Patients with Google Ads in Dubai
MRI and radiology Google Ads in Dubai: the DHA clinical-need rule, insurance prior approval, scan keywords, why not to sell MRI on demand, and WhatsApp booking.
MRI searchers usually have a doctor's request in hand and two questions: how soon, and will insurance pay. In Dubai, the DHA imaging standard says imaging is done only for a clinical need, on a licensed physician's request justified by the radiologist or under referral guidelines, so "MRI on demand" or "full-body MRI check" ads are the wrong message. Sell speed, the request route and the approval, because Dubai's basic plan needs prior approval for MRI and CT.

What people in the UAE search for
- Scan and place: "MRI Dubai", "MRI near me", "CT scan Dubai", "ultrasound near me", "X-ray jumeirah".
- Price: "MRI price Dubai", "MRI knee cost", "CT scan cost".
- Speed: "MRI same day", "MRI appointment today".
- Comfort: "open MRI Dubai", "MRI for claustrophobia". Bid only if you have the equipment.
Two people often search for the same scan: the patient holding a request form, and a coordinator at the referring clinic looking for the fastest slot. Give the patient a simple booking route and give clinics a referrer page with turnaround times and how reports come back.
What your ads can and cannot say
- Clinical need. The DHA Standards for Diagnostic Imaging Services say imaging is done only where there is a clinical need, on a licensed physician's request justified by the radiologist, or under referral guidelines (clause 13.4). Advertise "MRI with your doctor's request", not "MRI on demand".
- Insurance. Under Dubai's Essential Benefits Plan, MRI, CT and endoscopy need the insurer's prior approval, with 20% co-insurance (EBP table of benefits).
- Prices. Fees are fine if accurate and with conditions, matching the landing page and any price assets. DHA rejects prices without conditions (DHA ST-21).
- Wording. No "100% accurate" or "safest", and no claims against other centres (Khaleej Times).
- Advert approval. Outside Dubai, imaging centres follow MOHAP's healthcare advertisement licence route.
Campaign structure
- Scan ad groups: MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray. MRI by body area ("MRI knee", "MRI spine") if volume allows.
- Request route: every ad and page explains how to send the request form, ideally a photo on WhatsApp.
- Referrers: doctors and physios send more scans than ads. Run a referrer page and reporting turnaround promise. See orthopaedic and physiotherapy pages.
- Assets: a structured snippet listing the scans you offer, sitelinks to each scan page, the price list and the "send your request" page, and callouts such as evening slots or parking, only when true.
- Location and schedule: Presence, tight radius, ads only when bookings can be answered.
- Conversions: requests received, then scans completed, imported offline. See conversion tracking.

Landing page and WhatsApp follow-up
Each scan page: what the scan involves, how long it takes, preparation (metal, fasting, contrast), safety questions you will ask, price with conditions, insurers, the approval process and report turnaround. Add a short note for anxious patients if you offer support.

Frequently asked questions
Can patients book an MRI in Dubai without a doctor's request?
The DHA imaging standard requires a clinical need and a licensed physician's request justified by the radiologist, or use of referral guidelines. Advertise MRI with a doctor's request.
Does insurance cover MRI scans in Dubai?
Under the basic Essential Benefits Plan, MRI and CT need the insurer's prior approval and carry 20% co-insurance. Enhanced plans vary, so check cover before the scan.
Can I advertise full-body MRI screening?
It conflicts with the DHA clinical-need rule for imaging. Do not run ads that sell MRI to people without a clinical reason or a doctor's request.
Should I show MRI prices in ads?
Accurate prices with conditions help price searchers and are allowed. They must match the landing page, and DHA rejects prices without conditions.
