Google Ads Rolls Out a Translation Tool for Campaigns, but Not for Arabic Yet

Google Ads is rolling out a Translation tool that copies Search campaigns into 10 languages. Arabic is not one. What it means for UAE medical tourism clinics.

Quick answer

Google Ads is rolling out a Translation tool in the account under Tools. It is labelled "Translate with Google AI" and builds a translated copy of a Search campaign, covering headlines, descriptions, sitelinks, callouts, keywords, on-image text and the landing page. Google's help page lists 10 target languages. Arabic is not one of them, and the source campaign has to be in US English. UAE clinics can't use it for Arabic ads yet. It can help clinics that advertise to medical tourists in French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish or Dutch.

What Google launched

Search Engine Roundtable reported on 22 October 2026 that Google Ads is rolling out a Translation tool. Google's description in the interface: "Translate your campaigns to reach global customers and boost your conversions." The tool sits under Tools > Translation.

It appears to be the account-level entry point for the AI campaign localization tool for Search campaigns, which Google's help centre still labels as a beta. That page explains what the tool translates and what it doesn't.

What gets translated

Part of the campaignWhat the tool does
Headlines, descriptions, sitelinks, calloutsTranslated into the target language
KeywordsTranslated
Images with text on themRemoves the text from the image and adds the translated message as extra text assets
Landing pageEither a code snippet that translates the page when someone clicks the ad, or a find-and-replace rule that points ads to your existing language URLs
Budget and bidsCopied exactly, with no currency conversion

The tool creates a new campaign and leaves the original untouched. The new campaign is published paused by default. The review screen shows the original text, the translation, a back-translation into English and translation notes, so you can check the meaning without speaking the language.

Languages: no Arabic yet

Google's help page lists these target languages: Dutch, French, French (Canada), German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Spanish (Spain) and Spanish (Latin America and Caribbean). Google says more languages will be added by the end of 2026.

The source campaign must be in US English. Arabic, Russian, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog and Chinese are not listed. These are some of the languages UAE patients search in most. For now, Arabic ads still have to be written by a person.

What UAE clinics should do

  1. Don't wait for it for Arabic. If Arabic-speaking patients matter to you, keep running a separate Arabic campaign with Arabic keywords and an Arabic landing page written by a native speaker. Machine-translated medical copy can read badly and break the trust you need for a booking.
  2. Medical tourism clinics: test it. If you target patients in Europe for dental, cosmetic surgery, hair transplant, IVF or eye surgery, the tool can produce a first draft of a French, German or Italian campaign quickly. Check the back-translation, then have a native speaker check treatment names and prices before you unpause. See how to get more medical tourism patients in the UAE.
  3. Fix the budget yourself. Budgets copy across as the same number in your account currency. A new country needs its own budget and its own location targeting.
  4. Be careful with the landing page snippet. An auto-translated page sits under your clinic's name. Medical claims, prices and DHA, DOH or MOHAP-approved wording must stay accurate in every language. A proper translated page you control is safer.
  5. Check health ad policy again. The new campaign goes through review in the target country. Healthcare and medicines rules differ by country, so a campaign that runs in the UAE can be limited elsewhere. See why Google disapproves healthcare ads.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Google Ads Translation tool?

In the Google Ads account under Tools, then Translation. Google's help page also says you can start it by selecting campaigns in the Campaigns table or from a localization recommendation. It is rolling out, so not every account may see it yet.

Can it translate my Google Ads into Arabic?

Not yet. Arabic is not among the 10 target languages on Google's help page, and the source campaign has to be in US English. Google says more languages are coming by the end of 2026.

Does it change my existing campaign?

No. It creates a new, separate campaign and publishes it paused, so you can review it before it spends.

Does it translate my website?

It can. You can install a snippet that translates the landing page when someone clicks the ad, or use find-and-replace to point ads to translated pages you already have.

Does it work for Performance Max?

Google's help page says the tool is for Search campaigns. It also says Performance Max support starts from September 2026, but Performance Max is still listed as not supported.
