PureHealth Nine-Month 2026 Results: UAE Patient Volumes Rise, and What Clinics Should Take From It
PureHealth's nine-month 2026 results show UAE inpatient volumes up 13% and outpatient up 9%. What the numbers mean for private clinics competing for patients.
PureHealth, the Abu Dhabi group behind SEHA and Daman, reported on 30 October 2026 that net profit for the first nine months of 2026 rose 14.1% to Dh1.8 billion on revenue of Dh22.4 billion. In the UAE, its outpatient volumes rose 9% and inpatient volumes 13%, and its insurance arm processed 43.2 million health claims, up 6%. For private clinics, the message is simple: patient demand is growing, and so is the size of the competition.

The headline numbers
PureHealth published its results for the nine months to 30 September 2026 on 30 October. The figures below come from the company's release and Khaleej Times' report.
| Measure | Nine months 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Group revenue | Dh22.4 billion (USD 6.1 billion) | +11.5% |
| Net profit | Dh1.8 billion (USD 482 million) | +14.1% |
| EBITDA | Dh4.2 billion | +20.4%, margin 18.6% |
| UAE outpatient volumes | Not disclosed as a number | +9% |
| UAE inpatient volumes | Not disclosed as a number | +13% |
| UAE operational beds | 3,543 (from 3,433) | Occupancy 76% |
| Health insurance claims processed | 43.2 million | +6% |
| Insured members | About 3.4 million | +2% |
International operations, mainly Circle Health Group in the UK and Hellenic Healthcare Group in Greece and Cyprus, now make up about a third of group revenue. International revenue rose 53% to Dh7.3 billion.
Why UAE revenue fell while patients rose
Reported UAE healthcare revenue was Dh8.7 billion, down 9.2%. PureHealth put this down to accounting adjustments linked to the Unified Purchasing Programme, internal revenue eliminations and lower patient activity in the first quarter. On a normalised basis, UAE revenue rose 6% to Dh10.1 billion, and UAE EBITDA rose 3% to Dh1.74 billion.
The useful number for anyone running a clinic is the volume growth: more people walked into PureHealth facilities as outpatients (+9%) and more were admitted (+13%) than a year earlier.
What else the group announced
- Circle Health Group agreed to take over selected laboratory operations from Unilabs in London.
- SEHA's Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City in Al Ain was designated a Centre of Excellence for Stroke by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi.
- Tawam Hospital introduced what the group calls the UAE's first certified low-dose radiotherapy programme.
- Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City has done more than 1,200 robotic-assisted surgeries since its programme started in 2020.
- Daman's net profit rose 3.9% to Dh667 million.
What this means for private clinics
These results fit a wider pattern. Earlier this month, Emirates 24|7 reported that licensed health facilities in Dubai rose 7% to 5,931 in the first half of 2026, and licensed professionals rose 6.5% to 70,566. Demand is up. Supply is up too.
When the biggest group in the country is adding beds and growing outpatient visits, an independent clinic does not win by being general. It wins by being the obvious answer for a specific search in a specific area.
- Own your specialty searches. Large hospitals rank and advertise on broad terms. A clinic can win on "paediatric dentist Al Barsha" or "physiotherapy home visit Abu Dhabi" with focused Google Ads campaigns and pages for each service.
- Make insurance clear. 43.2 million claims through one insurer in nine months shows how much care in the UAE runs through insurance. List the networks you accept on every service page and in your ads. Our guide to Daman insurance explains how patients check their cover.
- Answer faster than the big groups. Large call centres have queues. Call assets, WhatsApp and online booking that respond within minutes win patients who are comparing options.
- Track bookings, not clicks. With more facilities competing, cost per click tends to rise. Measure what each campaign costs per booked appointment and move budget accordingly.
Our take
A growing market lifts everyone only if patients can find you. The large groups are getting bigger and more efficient, so the gap between clinics that market well and those that do not will widen.
