Get More Dermatology Patients with Google Ads in Dubai
Grow a Dubai dermatology clinic with Google Ads: insured vs self-pay searches, banned drug terms, DHA title rules, keywords, negatives and WhatsApp replies.
Running a dermatology clinic in Dubai? Your Google Ads money splits two ways: insured patients searching a condition ("dermatologist for eczema", "mole check") and self-pay patients searching a treatment. The first decides on insurance and availability, the second on the doctor and the price. Keep prescription drug names such as isotretinoin out of ads, keywords and landing pages, advertise the dermatologist by their exact DHA licence title, and remember Dubai's basic plan pays for a specialist only after a GP referral.

What people in the UAE search for
- Doctor searches: "dermatologist Dubai", "dermatologist near me", "female dermatologist", "dermatologist jlt". The core of the campaign.
- Condition searches: "acne treatment Dubai", "eczema specialist", "psoriasis doctor", "hair loss dermatologist", "mole check". Usually insured.
- Insurance searches: "dermatologist accepting daman", "dermatologist covered by insurance". A strong signal of intent.
- Treatment searches: "chemical peel", "pigmentation treatment price". Self-pay, often cosmetic. Treat these as a separate campaign, see laser and anti-wrinkle pages.
What your ads can and cannot say
- Drug names stay out. Isotretinoin, tretinoin, finasteride and Humira are on Google's prescription drug list. Outside the US, Canada and New Zealand they cannot be used promotionally in ads, keywords or landing pages (Google, October 2025). Write "acne treatment", not the drug.
- No remarketing on skin conditions. Google's health in personalised advertising policy treats physical health conditions and treatments for chronic conditions as sensitive, so Customer Match, your data segments and lookalikes are off.
- No cure claims. "Clear skin in 7 days" fails Google's unreliable claims policy and DHA's ban on "immediate results" (Khaleej Times).
- Titles. Only the title on the licence. DHA rules out titles such as "Cosmetologist" (Gulf News), and a GP who treats skin is not a dermatologist.

Campaign structure
- Medical campaign: doctor and condition ad groups, call and location assets, ad schedule matched to clinic hours.
- Insurance ad group: under Dubai's Essential Benefits Plan a specialist visit needs a GP referral through DHA e-Referral (EBP table of benefits). Enhanced plans often allow direct access. Say which plans you accept on the page, and see Dubai health insurance and insurance networks.
- Cosmetic campaign: its own budget, prices with conditions. In Dubai the DHA non-surgical cosmetic standard sets who may perform each procedure.
- Conversions: booked appointments by type (insured, self-pay, procedure). See conversion tracking.
Landing page and WhatsApp follow-up
One page per condition and one per doctor. Each page: the dermatologist's licensed title, the first-visit steps, the plans you accept, next available slot and a WhatsApp button. Ask for the insurance card photo on WhatsApp and confirm cover before the visit.
Book the follow-up before the patient leaves: chronic skin conditions are long-term care. Ask for a review after the visit with no incentive, as Google's review policy requires, and never confirm in a reply that someone was a patient.

Frequently asked questions
Can I advertise isotretinoin or other acne medicines on Google in the UAE?
No. Isotretinoin and tretinoin are on Google's prescription drug list, and promotional use is allowed only in the US, Canada and New Zealand. Keep them out of ads, keywords and landing pages and advertise acne treatment instead.
Can I remarket to people who looked at my eczema page?
No. Google treats physical health conditions as sensitive, so remarketing lists, Customer Match and lookalikes are not allowed for those ads. Use keywords and location targeting.
Do insured patients need a referral to see a dermatologist in Dubai?
On the basic Essential Benefits Plan a specialist visit needs a GP referral through DHA e-Referral. Many enhanced plans allow direct access, so check each patient's plan.
Can a GP who treats skin be advertised as a dermatologist?
No. Ads must use the exact DHA licence title. Only a licensed specialist or consultant dermatologist can be called a dermatologist.
