Get More Hair Colour Customers with Google Ads in Dubai

Colour salon in Dubai? What balayage and colour correction customers search, consultation and allergy rules, brand names in ads, keywords and WhatsApp quotes.

Guide · 28 Oct 2026 · Access One

Quick answer

Stocking a new colour line, or hired a balayage specialist? Customers do not search for the dye brand. They search "balayage dubai", "hair colour salon near me" and "colour correction dubai", and they want to see a price and a portfolio before they message. Win them with ad groups by colour service, a page that prices by length and explains what a consultation includes, and a WhatsApp reply that asks for a photo of her hair today. The rule that shapes everything: Dubai Municipality expects a documented hair care consultation, including allergies, before any colour service.

A technique-plus-area search answered with the technique, the area and the way to get a real quote.

What customers in the UAE search for

Colour searches split by technique, and each technique has a different ticket size and a different customer:

  • Technique: "balayage", "babylights", "ombre", "highlights", "root touch up". Balayage and highlights are high value, root touch-ups are repeat business.
  • Problem to fix: "colour correction dubai", "fix orange hair", "brassy hair toner". These customers often had a bad result elsewhere and want reassurance more than a discount.
  • Product preference: "ammonia free hair colour", "vegan hair colour salon". Only bid on these if your product really matches.
  • Price and area: "balayage price dubai", "hair colour salon jlt".
  • Not customers: "hair colour shades", "box dye", "hair colour chart", "hair dye price", "colour course". DIY and product shoppers.
Bid on technique, problem and area. Shade charts and box dye are searched by people colouring at home.

What your ads can and cannot say

  • Consultation and allergy questions are expected. Dubai Municipality's salon guideline (V5, March 2026) requires a consultation before specialised services. Its hair care form covers "hair coloring with dyes" and asks about allergies, skin diseases, medication and recent treatments. Follow the dye maker's instructions too, which commonly include a skin test before colouring.
  • Approved, labelled products only. The same guideline requires cosmetics approved by the competent authorities, labelled to the UAE standard, and mixed according to each product's instructions.
  • Brand names in ad text can be restricted. If you name a dye brand, its owner can complain and Google "may restrict" the trademark in ad text under its trademarks policy. Lead with the technique.
  • Transformation photos need consent and must be yours. A customer's photo is her image, and the UAE cybercrime law penalises publishing photos without consent, with fines reported at up to AED 500,000 (Khaleej Times). Using another salon's photos would also breach Google's misrepresentation policy.
  • Prices include VAT and must match the page (Mondaq; Google unavailable offers).
Most colour ads pass Google easily. The Dubai rules sit in the consultation and the photos.

Campaign structure

  • Ad groups by technique: balayage and highlights, colour correction, root touch-up, and a "near me" group. Colour correction deserves its own budget: the ticket is high and the search is urgent.
  • Bid on value, not volume: a root touch-up customer is worth more as a repeat than as a first visit. Give her a lower bid and win her back with remarketing.
  • Remarketing: hair colour is a beauty service, not one of Google's sensitive health categories, so remarketing to past customers who agreed to marketing is normally available. Time it to regrowth.
  • Google Business Profile: colour work photos (with consent), every service with a price, and a review request after each visit.

Landing page and WhatsApp follow-up

  • One page per technique with a price range by length, the appointment time and whether toner and blow dry are included.
  • Colourist profiles with real work, posted with written consent.
  • A clear note on allergy checks and when she should come in for one before the appointment.
  • "Send a photo" on WhatsApp, because a quote from a photo converts better than a price list for colour correction.
A quote from a photo avoids a surprise at the chair, and the allergy check is booked with the colour.

Book the next root touch-up before she leaves and track bookings with conversion tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Can I name the hair colour brand in my Google Ads?

You can, but the brand owner can complain and Google may restrict the trademark in ad text. Lead with the technique, such as balayage or colour correction, and mention the brand on your page.

Do Dubai salons need a consultation before colouring?

Dubai Municipality's salon guideline requires a documented consultation before specialised services, and its hair care form covers hair colouring with dyes, including questions on allergies, skin conditions and medication.

Can I use customer before and after photos in colour ads?

Only your own work, and only with the customer's written consent. Publishing someone's photo without consent can breach the UAE cybercrime law, and using other people's photos is misleading under Google policy.

Should I advertise root touch-ups?

Lightly. Root touch-ups are mostly repeat visits, so book them at the chair and use reminders and remarketing rather than paying full new-customer bids.
