How to Stop Nurse Job Seekers Clicking Home Care Google Ads
Home healthcare Google Ads in Dubai full of nurse and caregiver job seekers? Use multilingual job negatives, tighter match types and cleaner forms. Steps.
Access One is the healthcare-only Google Ads agency in Dubai and a Google Partner. This is the order we check a UAE home healthcare account in when this problem comes up. By Youssef Hajri, Founder.
Home healthcare ads attract job seekers because the words are identical: "home nurse Dubai" is typed by families looking for care and by nurses looking for work. Fix it with a shared job negative list in English, Arabic and Tagalog, phrase and exact match on service keywords, account-level negatives so Performance Max obeys them, no careers sitelinks, and a contact form that sends applicants to a separate email. Then check the search terms report every week.

Quick diagnosis checklist
If your WhatsApp fills with CVs and "are you hiring?" messages, this is the list.
- A shared negative list for jobs, visas and licensing is on every Search campaign.
- The same words are account-level negatives, covering Performance Max.
- Negatives include Arabic and Tagalog job words.
- Service keywords use phrase and exact match ("home nurse dubai", not broad "nurse").
- Maid and nanny searches are negatives unless you offer those services.
- No careers or "join us" sitelink; careers URLs excluded from Performance Max.
- The form and WhatsApp greeting send applicants to a careers email.
- Search terms reviewed in the last 7 days.

- Are CVs kept out of your conversions?NoSeparate job enquiries from patient leads.
- Clean? Keep the weekly search terms review. Hiring seasons bring new phrases.
The likely causes, ranked
- Identical keywords. "Home nurse", "caregiver", "elderly care" and "baby nurse" are searched by families and by workers.
- A huge, multilingual job market. Dubai's home care sector is growing fast: Khaleej Times reported 249 licensed home healthcare facilities in the first half of 2026, up 22.7% in a year (report). More facilities means more hiring and more job searches.
- Broad match and automation. Broad "nurse" keywords, Performance Max and AI Max expand into job searches unless negatives stop them.
- Maid and nanny confusion. Families and workers searching for domestic help land on medical home care ads.
- Your own site invites applicants. Careers sitelinks and a form that accepts CVs teach Google that applicants are conversions.
How to fix it, step by step
1. Measure what job clicks cost
In Campaigns > Insights and reports > Search terms (Google's report), set the last 90 days and search for job, vacancy, salary, visa, hiring and licence. Total the cost.
2. Build the job negative list
Under Tools > Shared library > Exclusion lists (Google's guide):
| Type | Negatives |
|---|---|
| Jobs (broad) | job, jobs, vacancy, vacancies, hiring, career, careers, salary, recruitment, agency, manpower, cv, resume, apply |
| Visa and licence | visa, "caregiver visa", "dha license", "dha licence", "dha exam", "nursing license", dataflow, prometric |
| Roles (phrase) | "nurse job", "caregiver job", "nursing assistant job", "home nurse vacancy" |
| Domestic help (if not offered) | maid, housemaid, nanny, babysitter, "domestic worker" |
| Arabic | وظائف (jobs), وظيفة (job), توظيف (hiring), رواتب (salaries) |
| Tagalog | trabaho (work, job) |
Negatives do not cover plurals or synonyms automatically (about negative keywords). Remove anything you sell: keep "nanny" if you offer newborn nanny care, and block "nanny job" instead.
3. Cover automated campaigns
Add the job words as account-level negatives, which apply to Performance Max, or add them to the PMax campaign from Campaigns > Keywords > Negative keywords (Google's page). Exclude careers URLs under the campaign's Asset optimisation settings (URL exclusions).
4. Tighten keywords
Use service plus place: "home nurse dubai", "elderly care at home dubai", "physiotherapy at home jumeirah", "doctor home visit dubai marina". Phrase and exact match first.
5. Close your own doors
- Remove careers sitelinks.
- On the contact form and in the WhatsApp greeting: "Looking for work with us? Email careers@yourcompany.ae".
- If CVs still arrive through the patient form, mark that conversion secondary until it is clean.
UAE and DHA specifics
- A physician is part of every case. Under the DHA Standards for Home Healthcare Services, services are offered to patients referred by a physician, with a face-to-face physician assessment before care. Saying this in your ads also filters out people looking for domestic help.
- Licence details build trust. Show your DHA (or DoH or MOHAP) facility licence and staff qualifications on the page.
- Health targeting limits. Disabilities and chronic conditions are sensitive under Google's personalized advertising policy, even when ads speak to the caregiver. Plan on keywords and location, not remarketing.
- DHA wording. No fear-based lines or "100%" claims in ads, under the DHA standard.

Frequently asked questions
Why do nurses keep calling my home care ads?
Your keywords match their job searches, and call assets show your number to everyone who sees the ad. Job negatives stop the ad showing on those searches.
Should I block the word "nurse"?
No. Block "nurse job", "nurse vacancy" and "nurse salary" instead, and use phrase or exact match on "home nurse dubai".
Do negatives work in other languages?
Yes. Negative keywords match the words in the search, whatever the language. Add the job words in the languages your applicants use.
Will Performance Max respect my job negatives?
Account-level negatives apply to Search and Shopping inventory, including Performance Max. You can also add negatives to a PMax campaign directly.
