How do I get more home healthcare patients in the UAE?
How to get more home healthcare patients in the UAE: Google Ads by service, 24/7 replies, service-area profile, physician referrals, insurers and DHA rules.
Home healthcare patients in the UAE come from two places: families searching urgently on Google ("home nurse Dubai", "physiotherapy at home") and referrals from doctors and hospital discharge teams. Win both. Run Google Search ads by service with call and WhatsApp answered around the clock, show licensed staff and clear per-visit or package prices, set up a Google Business Profile as a service-area business, and build a referral pipeline with physicians, because DHA rules say home care patients must be referred by a physician. Competition is rising fast: Dubai had 249 licensed home healthcare facilities in the first half of 2026, up 22.7% in a year.

Why home care marketing is different
- The buyer is usually not the patient. It is a daughter, son or spouse, often searching at night after a hospital discharge or a fall. Speed of reply wins.
- A doctor is part of every case. Under DHA's Standards for Home Healthcare Services (effective 19 February 2025), services are offered to patients referred by a physician, and a qualified physician must assess the patient face-to-face before care starts. Referrers are a channel, not an afterthought.
- The market is crowded and growing. A DHA report covered by Khaleej Times on 16 October 2026 counted 249 home care facilities in H1 2026 against 203 a year earlier, the fastest growth of any part of Dubai's health sector.
The 8-step plan
- Pick your money services and areas. List what you are licensed for and staffed to deliver: home nursing, elderly care, post-surgery care, physiotherapy at home, doctor home visits, wound care, newborn and postnatal visits. Then list the areas your team can reach within an hour. Market those, nothing more.
- Answer 24/7 or say clearly when you do not. Families call when a crisis happens. A WhatsApp reply in five minutes beats a better provider who replies the next morning. Track response time weekly.
- Run Google Search ads by service. One ad group per service ("home nurse", "elderly care at home", "physiotherapy at home", "doctor home visit"), each with its own landing page. Add area names you serve. Schedule call-focused ads only when someone is answering.
- Add negatives from day one. Home care keywords attract job seekers. Exclude "jobs", "vacancy", "salary", "nurse job", "DHA exam", "course", "caregiver visa" and similar, and check the search terms report weekly.
- Build landing pages families trust. Show DHA (or DoH or MOHAP) licence details, nurse and therapist qualifications, what a visit includes, how the physician assessment works, price per visit, per shift or per package with conditions, insurers you work with, areas covered, and call and WhatsApp buttons visible on a phone.
- Set up Google Business Profile as a service-area business. Google's guidelines say businesses that serve customers at their location should set a service area and hide the address unless the office receives customers during stated hours. Use your real name only, with no service keywords added.
- Build a referral pipeline. Visit GPs, internists, orthopaedic surgeons, geriatricians and hospital case managers near your areas. Give them a one-page referral form, a direct WhatsApp line and same-day assessment slots. Report back on each referred patient's progress with consent.
- Get on insurer networks. Coverage for home care varies by plan and insurer, so check with each one. Being in-network removes the biggest objection for many families.
Budget and benchmarks
There is no published benchmark for home care. LocaliQ's 2026 data gives an all-industry average of $5.42 per click and $66.69 per lead, and $4.76 per click and $40.04 per lead for physicians and surgeons. Use these to sense-check, not to forecast. Then work from your own numbers:
- Goal: 15 new long-term home nursing clients a month.
- If 25% of enquiries convert after assessment, you need 60 enquiries.
- At a 10% enquiry rate from clicks, that is 600 clicks.
- If your clicks cost $5, about $3,000 a month.
A long-term nursing or elderly-care client can be worth months of revenue, so judge cost per signed client against lifetime value, not the first visit. See Google Ads cost per click.
Rules to respect
- Every ad that names your facility follows the DHA medical advertising standard: no "the best", "100%", "no side effects" or fear-based lines such as "don't wait until it's too late". Details in how to advertise a clinic in Dubai.
- Google treats health as a sensitive category, so you cannot remarket to site visitors or upload patient lists for care-related ads.
- Google's lead form assets are not allowed for healthcare content. Use your own landing page form.
- Patient photos, videos and testimonials need documented written consent.
- In Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates, check DoH or MOHAP rules for your licence.
Track calls, forms and WhatsApp with conversion tracking and import signed clients so Smart Bidding learns from real patients. Most families will message first, so read how to get more WhatsApp leads from Google Ads.

Frequently asked questions
What keywords work for home healthcare in Dubai?
Service plus place: "home nurse Dubai", "elderly care at home Dubai", "physiotherapy at home JLT", "doctor home visit Dubai Marina". Add strong negatives for jobs and training, because nurse and caregiver job searches use the same words.
Do home healthcare patients need a doctor's referral in Dubai?
Yes. DHA's home healthcare standard says services are offered to patients referred by a physician, and a physician must assess the patient face-to-face before care begins.
Should I show prices on my home care website?
Yes, as per-visit, per-shift or package ranges with conditions. Families compare providers quickly, and DHA allows accurate prices when conditions are stated.
How fast should a home care provider reply to leads?
Within minutes. Families often contact several providers at once, usually after a discharge or emergency, and book the first credible one that answers.
