How do I reach families abroad who book home care for parents?
How Dubai home care providers reach sons and daughters abroad: country targeting, Dubai keywords, time-zone schedules, landing pages and health ad limits.
Run a separate Google Search campaign that targets the countries where your patients' children live, with keywords that always include Dubai or the UAE ("home nurse for mother in Dubai"), scheduled for their waking hours. Send it to a page written for a family managing care from abroad: how the DHA-required physician assessment works, licences, prices per visit or package, how they pay and how often they get updates. Answer on WhatsApp fast across time zones. Do not plan on remarketing: Google limits personalised ads for health topics.

Who you are really selling to
In many home care cases the patient lives in Dubai but the decision-maker does not. A son in London or a daughter in Mumbai finds out about a fall or a discharge, searches from their own phone, and books by WhatsApp. They cannot visit your office or meet the nurse first. Everything you would say in person has to be on the page and in the first reply.
Dubai's home care market is crowded. A DHA report covered by Khaleej Times counted 249 home healthcare facilities in the first half of 2026, up 22.7% in a year. Reaching the family where they live, before they find a competitor, is a way to stand out.
Step-by-step setup
- Find out where your families are. Add "Where does the person arranging care live?" to your intake form and check your last 50 clients. In Google Ads, the locations report shows where your current clicks come from. Pick the top three to five countries.
- Know what your Dubai campaign already does. Google's default location setting, "Presence or interest", can show ads to people in your target area and to people who have shown interest in it (advanced location options). Some overseas searches for "home nurse Dubai" may already reach your Dubai campaign. A separate campaign gives that audience its own budget, schedule, ads and page.
- Build the overseas campaign. Target the chosen countries. Use only keywords that name Dubai, the UAE or your areas: "home nurse Dubai", "elderly care at home Dubai", "caregiver for parents in Dubai", "physiotherapy at home Dubai". Without the location in the keyword, you pay for people looking for care in their own city.
- Add negative keywords on day one. Home care terms pull job seekers, and abroad even more so: exclude "jobs", "vacancy", "salary", "visa", "recruitment", "agency abroad", "course" and similar. See negative keywords.
- Write ads for a worried child, not a patient. Lead with the service and place, then what a remote family needs: "DHA-licensed nurses in Dubai", "Assessment by a physician before care starts", "Updates on WhatsApp". Only promise what you actually deliver. Follow DHA wording rules: no "the best", "100%" or scare lines.
- Schedule for their day, not yours. Ad schedules use your Google Ads account's time zone, and Google says to adjust for customers in other time zones. You can set up to 6 schedules per day per campaign (Google Ads Help). If your account is on Dubai time, a London evening is late evening in Dubai. Run ads only when someone can reply.
- Write ads in the language they search in. Google removed the language targeting setting from Search campaigns from late September 2026 and now matches ads by the language of the ad, the search and the user's preferences. Arabic ads still need to be written in Arabic. See the language targeting change.
- Track overseas calls and WhatsApp. Count WhatsApp clicks, international calls and form submissions as conversions, and import signed clients. See tracking phone calls in the UAE and WhatsApp leads from Google Ads.
The landing page a remote family needs
- How care starts. Under DHA's Standards for Home Healthcare Services, services are for patients referred by a physician, and a physician assesses the patient face to face before care begins. Explain who arranges this and how fast.
- Your licence and team. Facility licence number, nurse and therapist qualifications, and who supervises them.
- Prices. Per visit, per shift or per package, VAT treatment stated, and what changes the price. Families comparing from abroad want numbers. See how to show prices compliantly.
- Payment from abroad. Which methods work for an overseas payer, and whether insurance in the UAE can cover any of it. Coverage varies by insurer and plan.
- Updates and consent. How often the family hears from you, through which channel, and who is allowed to receive health information. Get the patient's consent in writing.
- Areas covered and how quickly a nurse can reach them.
- WhatsApp and call buttons with the +971 number written out, so international callers dial correctly.
Why remarketing is off the table
Google's health in personalised advertising policy blocks advertiser-curated audiences such as Customer Match and your data segments for sensitive health topics. The policy covers disabilities even when the ad is aimed at the person's primary caretaker. That is exactly the home care family. Plan to win them on the first visit to your page, with Search and a fast reply.
On Meta you can target people by country, but health advertisers face limits on optimisation and sensitive targeting. Keep copy general: never imply you know the viewer's parent is ill. See Google Ads vs Meta Ads for clinics.
Budget and benchmarks
There is no published benchmark for overseas home care searches. LocaliQ's 2026 all-industry Search averages are $5.42 per click and $66.69 per lead (LocaliQ). Start with a small test budget per country for 60 days, and judge it on signed clients. A long-term nursing or elderly-care client can be worth months of revenue, so cost per signed client matters more than cost per lead.

Frequently asked questions
Can I target people in the UK who search for home care in Dubai?
Yes. Create a campaign targeting the UK, and use keywords that include Dubai or the UAE so you only pay for searches about care in your area.
Should my overseas campaign use Presence or Presence or interest?
For a campaign targeting the family's country, the default Presence or interest setting is fine because your keywords already name Dubai. Watch the search terms report weekly.
Can I remarket to families who visited my home care page?
Expect not. Google blocks advertiser-curated audiences for sensitive health topics, including disabilities when the ad targets a caretaker. Win them on the first visit.
Can a family abroad book care without a doctor's referral?
Under DHA's home healthcare standard, services are for patients referred by a physician, with a face-to-face physician assessment before care starts. Explain how you arrange this.
