How do I get more clients for my beauty salon in Dubai?

How to get more salon clients in Dubai: Google Business Profile, reviews, one-tap booking, Google Ads benchmarks for beauty, Instagram, rebooking and permits.

Guide · 18 Oct 2026 · Access One

Quick answer

Most new salon clients in Dubai find you on Google Maps or Instagram, then book whoever answers fastest. Win Maps with a complete Google Business Profile and a steady flow of reviews, make booking one tap (online booking plus WhatsApp), run Google Search ads only for high-value services like bridal, keratin and lash extensions, and rebook every client before she leaves. Beauty search ads average $4.62 per click and $39.25 per lead in LocaliQ's 2026 benchmarks, roughly half the cost of dental leads.

The 8-step plan

  1. Fix your Google Business Profile. Use your real salon name, nothing extra: Google's guidelines ban taglines, services and locations in the business name and can suspend you for it. Pick the right primary category (hair salon, nail salon, beauty salon), add every service with a price, opening hours, WhatsApp and 20+ real photos of the space and work.
  2. Build a review engine. Send a review link by WhatsApp after every appointment. Ask everyone, not only happy clients, and never give a discount for a review; Google's review policy bans incentives. Reply to every review within a few days.
  3. Make booking one tap. Online booking with live availability, a WhatsApp button with a pre-filled message, and a phone that is answered. Ask your booking software whether it can add a booking link or button to your Google profile.
  4. Post real work every week. Short videos of colour transformations, nail sets and lash fills, tagged with your area (JLT, Marina, Jumeirah). Show the stylist's name. Real results beat stock images.
  5. Use Google Search ads for high-value services only. A haircut client is worth little on paid clicks. A bridal package, keratin treatment or full lash set is. Build one ad group per service, send each to its own page with price, duration and photos, and target a 3 to 8 km radius around the salon.
  6. Rebook at the chair. Book the next appointment before the client pays. Send reminders two days and two hours before. A client who comes every 5 weeks instead of every 8 is worth over 50% more a year.
  7. Bring back lapsed clients. Every month, message clients with no visit in 90 days with a reason to return (new stylist, seasonal service). Unlike clinics, a hair or nail salon can usually use Google remarketing and customer lists, because standard beauty services are not a health category.
  8. Work with local creators carefully. Any influencer you pay or gift services to needs a UAE Media Council Advertiser Permit; posting promotions without one after 31 January 2026 risks fines of up to AED 10,000. Ask to see the permit.

What salon ads cost

LocaliQ's 2026 benchmarks for beauty and personal care (mostly US accounts, so use them as a benchmark only):

MetricBeauty and personal careAll industries
Click-through rate6.75%6.64%
Average cost per click$4.62$5.42
Conversion rate10.35%8.18%
Average cost per lead$39.25$66.69

Do the maths per service. If a bridal package is worth AED 2,500 and half your bridal enquiries book, a $39 lead (about AED 145) costs you roughly AED 290 per booking. That works. On a AED 120 blow-dry, it does not. See Google Ads cost per click for what drives the price.

Know where salon ends and clinic begins

Laser hair removal, injectables and other medical aesthetic procedures are regulated by the DHA in Dubai. Laser and IPL hair removal must be done in a DHA-licensed health facility by licensed staff under DHA's Standards for Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures, as this January 2026 legal summary explains. Do not advertise services your licence does not cover. If you do run a licensed medical aesthetic section, its ads follow DHA rules and Google's healthcare policy instead; see how to advertise a clinic in Dubai.

Running promotions? Dubai Economy and Tourism issues commercial permits for some promotional activities; check whether your offer needs one before advertising it.

Track what fills chairs

  • New clients per week, by source (ask "How did you hear about us?" at booking).
  • Cost per new client for each paid channel.
  • Rebooking rate: share of clients who leave with the next appointment booked.
  • 90-day return rate for first-time clients.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best way to advertise a beauty salon in Dubai?

A strong Google Business Profile with steady reviews brings the most local clients for the least money. Add Instagram for visual services and Google Search ads only for high-value services such as bridal, keratin and lash extensions.

How much should a salon spend on Google Ads?

Start small, around one or two high-value services, and judge by cost per booked client. LocaliQ's 2026 beauty benchmark is about $39 per lead; your booking rate decides whether that is profitable.

How do I get more 5-star Google reviews for my salon?

Ask every client with a direct review link sent by WhatsApp right after the appointment, and reply to each review. Never offer discounts or gifts for reviews; Google removes incentivised reviews.

Can my salon advertise laser hair removal?

Only if the service is delivered in a DHA-licensed health facility by licensed staff. A standard beauty salon licence does not cover laser or IPL hair removal in Dubai.
