How do I get more IV drip and wellness clients?
How UAE clinics get more IV drip clients: compliant Google Ads, no cure claims or drug names, DHA home healthcare limits, MOHAP licences and an 8-step plan.
Win the high-intent searches ("IV drip near me", "IV therapy Dubai", "hydration drip + area") with a licensed-clinic message: doctor assessment, a registered nurse, clear drip menus and prices, and fast WhatsApp booking. Keep ads free of cure claims ("detox", "boosts immunity", "cures hangovers") and prescription ingredient names, which Google and UAE rules restrict. Check your licence before you advertise at-home drips: Dubai's home healthcare standard ties home services to physician referral and homebound patients.

Why IV drip marketing gets clinics in trouble
IV drips sit between wellness and medicine. Clients see them as a lifestyle purchase. Regulators and Google see an injection given by a licensed professional. In March 2025 Khaleej Times reported a Dubai resident hospitalised with a severe allergic reaction after a NAD+ drip, who said she had no prior tests and signed consent only afterwards. She complained to the regulator. That is the risk a "book now, drip in 20 minutes" funnel creates.
The rules you need to know
- No cure or miracle claims. Google's unreliable claims policy covers miracle cures and improbable results. Dubai bans words like "magic", "miraculous", "immediate results", "100%" and "no side effects", and requires ads to mention risks (Khaleej Times, September 2026).
- No prescription ingredient names in ads or on the landing page. Google's Healthcare and medicines policy restricts prescription drug terms outside the US, Canada and New Zealand. If a drip contains a prescription-only medicine (anti-nausea or other drugs), do not name it in ad copy or on the page the ad links to. UAE law also prohibits advertising prescription-only medicines to the public (CMS legal guide).
- No unapproved substances. Google bans ads for unapproved pharmaceuticals and supplements and for products implying they are as effective as prescription drugs. The UAE's drug regulator is cracking down on unapproved peptides sold online (Khaleej Times, July 2026). Advertise only what is registered and stocked from authorised suppliers.
- No remarketing. Injections are invasive procedures under Google's health in personalised advertising policy. Expect no remarketing lists, Customer Match or lookalikes on drip ads.
- At-home drips: check your licence first. Dubai's Standards for Home Healthcare Services (effective 19 February 2025) say home services are for patients referred by a physician who are homebound or semi-homebound, require a face-to-face physician assessment before services start, and require specialised consent for IV therapy. The standard does not mention wellness drips. Before you advertise "IV drip at home", confirm with DHA (or DoH or MOHAP outside Dubai) that your licence and model allow it.
- MOHAP licence and DHA sign-off. Social accounts must show your MOHAP ad licence number; MOHAP's social media advertising licence costs AED 100 to apply plus AED 1,000 a month or AED 3,000 a year. In Dubai, the medical director approves any post naming the clinic, per the DHA standard.
The 8-step plan
- Lead with safety as the selling point. "Doctor assessment before every first drip. Given by licensed registered nurses." This is true, compliant and is exactly what nervous first-timers look for after the news stories.
- Publish a clear drip menu. Name each drip by purpose in neutral terms (hydration, vitamin, recovery), list ingredients that are not prescription-only, duration, price, and who should not have it (kidney or heart conditions, pregnancy, allergies). Accurate prices with conditions are allowed under DHA rules.
- Bid on purchase-intent searches. "IV drip near me", "IV therapy + area", "hydration drip Dubai", "vitamin drip clinic". Avoid "hangover cure" and "detox" keywords: the clicks are cheap, but the ad copy that matches them is hard to keep compliant.
- Win Google Maps. If you are a licensed clinic, list the drip service, opening hours and photos of the treatment room. Google ranks on relevance, distance and prominence. Reviews about the nurse and comfort carry weight.
- Book on WhatsApp in minutes, with a health screen. A short pre-visit questionnaire (conditions, medicines, allergies, pregnancy) builds trust and filters unsafe bookings. See WhatsApp lead handling.
- Sell packages and memberships. Most profit is in repeat clients. Offer bundles with honest terms, and no "limited stock" or "money back" pressure lines, which the DHA standard bans.
- Partner carefully. Gyms, hotels, corporate wellness and event organisers. If a partner or influencer posts about you, they need medical director approval, payment disclosure and a UAE Media Council advertiser permit.
- Cross-sell within your clinic. Drip clients often want aesthetic or weight management services. See marketing an aesthetic clinic and getting more weight loss patients.
What to track
- Bookings by keyword and by area, first drip versus repeat.
- Screening drop-outs (people declined for medical reasons). This shows your process is working, not failing.
- Repeat rate at 30 and 90 days, and package sales. Setup: conversion tracking for clinics.
Insurance rarely pays: Dubai's basic Essential Benefits Plan excludes multivitamins and supplements unless prescribed for a known deficiency (EBP table of benefits). Price and position drips as self-pay.

Frequently asked questions
Can I advertise IV drips on Google Ads in the UAE?
Yes, for a licensed facility, if ads avoid cure claims, prescription drug names and unapproved substances, and you do not use remarketing.
Can I advertise "IV drip at home" in Dubai?
Check with DHA first. Its home healthcare standard links home services to physician referral, homebound patients, a face-to-face assessment and specialised IV consent, and does not mention wellness drips.
Why were my "hangover drip" ads disapproved?
Usually a cure or improbable claim, or a prescription ingredient named in the ad or on the landing page. Rename by purpose and remove drug names.
Can I say IV drips boost immunity?
Avoid it. Health benefit claims need evidence under DHA rules, and immunity claims trigger Google's unreliable claims checks.
